Answer :-

Formula used -

  • Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( Length + Breadth)

Solution :-

a) Length = 17 m , Breadth = 13 m

→ Area = Length × Breadth

→ A = 17 × 13

→ A = 221

Area of rectangle = 221 m²

→ Perimeter = 2 ( Length + Breadth )

→ P = 2 ( 17 + 13 )

→ P = 2 ( 30 )

→ P = 60

Perimeter of rectangle = 60 m

b) Length = 5 m , Breadth = 32 dm

Breadth = 32 dm = 3.2 m

→ Area = Length × Breadth

→ A = 5 × 3.2

→ A = 16

Area of rectangle = 16 m²

→ Perimeter = 2 ( Length + Breadth )

→ P = 2 ( 5 + 3.2 )

→ P = 2 ( 8.2 )

→ P = 16.4

Perimeter of rectangle = 16.4 m

Answer:

Given :-

  • Length = 17 m and Breadth = 13 m
  • Length = 5 m and breadth = 32 dm

To Find :-

Area and perimeter

Solution :-

1]

We know that

\begin{gathered}\quad{\underline{\boxed{\mathcal{\pmb{ \: Perimeter = 2(l + b)}}}}}\\\end{gathered}

Perimeter = 2(17 + 13)

Perimeter = (2 × 17) + (2 × 13)

Perimeter = 34 + 26

Perimeter = 60 m

For Area

\begin{gathered}\quad{\underline{\boxed{\mathcal{\pmb{\quad \: Area = l \times b \quad}}}}}\\\end{gathered}

Area = 17 × 13

Area = 221 m²

2]

1 m = 10 dm

32 dm = 3.2 m

\begin{gathered}\quad{\underline{\boxed{\mathcal{\pmb{\quad \: \: Perimeter = 2(l + b)\quad}}}}}\\\end{gathered}

Perimeter = 2(5 + 3.2)

Perimeter = 2(8.2)

Perimeter = 16.4 m

For Area

\begin{gathered}\quad{\underline{\boxed{\mathcal{\pmb{\quad   \: Area = l \times b \quad}}}}}\\\end{gathered}

Area = 5 × 3.2

Area = 5 × 32/10

Area = 32/2

Area = 16 m²
