Step-by-step explanation:

let ABCD is a rectangle

then AB=12cm and CD=13

In traingle ABC

By Pythagoras Theorem

AC=√13^2-12^2

AC=√169-144

AC=√25

AC=5cm

therefore area of rectangle= length*breadth

=AB*AC

=12*5

=60cm^2

perimeter of rectangle =AB+AC+CD+BD

=12+5+12+5

=34cm

Answer:

PERIMETER=34

AREA=60

Step-by-step explanation:

p²+b²=h²

p²=12², h²=13²

12²+b²=13²

b²=13²-12²

13²=169, 12²=144

b²=169-144

b²=25

5²=25

therefore- length of the rectangle=5

PERIMETER= 2(l+b)= 2(12+5)= 2×17= 34

AREA=l×b= 12×5= 60
