Lets assume side of a square is x.
Area of a square is x^2.
Perimeter of a square is 4x.
If side of the square is increased by 2 times then side of square is 2x.
So, now the area of square is the (2x)^2=4x^2.
and perimeter of square is 4 (2x)= 8x.
