Answer:

Area of shaded region=154.88 sq-cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of shaded region:

Area of square(ABCD)-Area of square(PQRS)- Area of 4 semicircles

Side of square ABCD= 14 cm

Side of square PQRS= 4 cm

Radius of one semicircle= 2 cm

Area \: of \: square(ABCD) = 14 \times 14 = 196 {cm}^{2} \\ \\ Area \: of \: square(PQRS) = 4 \times 4 = 16 {cm}^{2} \\ \\ area \: of \: 1 \: semicircle = \frac{\pi}{2} {(2)}^{2} = 2\pi \: {cm}^{2} \\ \\

Area of shaded region:

 = 196 - 16 - 4(2\pi) \\ \\ = 196 - 16 - 8 \times 3.14 \\ \\ = 180 - 25.12 \\ \\ = 154.88 \: {cm}^{2} \\ \\

Hope it helps you.
