Given
a circle is inscribed in a circle of side a
So the diameter of the circle would be a
We know that, radius = diameter/2
=> When diameter is a cm,
radius = a/2 cm.
We know that area of a circle = πr²
putting r as a/2 we get,
=> area = π(a/2)²
=> area = π × a²/4
=> area = a²π/4
Answer :- a²π/4
Other information :-
Area of square = a²
So their ratio = a² : πa²/4
= 1 : π/4
= 4 : π (after simplifying)
