Find the area of a circle whose circumference is the same as the perimeter of square of side 44 cm.

Side of square = 44 cm

Perimeter of square = 4 ( side ) = 4 ( 44 ) = 176 cm

Now,

Perimeter of square = Circumference of circle ( given )

Circumference of circle = 176 cm

2πr = 176 cm

2 ( 22 / 7 ) ( r ) = 176

r = 28 cm

Area of circle = πr²

= ( 22 / 7 ) ( 28 )²

= 2464 cm²

Hence,

Area of circle = 2464 cm²
