find the area of a isosceles triangle whose one side is 10 cm greater than its equal side and its perimeter is 100 cm.

Answer:

let one side of the isosceles triangle be x

other side=10x

in a isosceles triangle 2 sides are equal so,

other side=x

perimeter=sum of 3 side of the Triangle.

=>10x+x+x=100

=>12x=100

=>x=100/12

=>0.83cm

area =1/2*base*height

1/2*83*0.83

=34.44cm^2
