Answer:

256 m^2 or 25,600 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE:

2(l+b)= 8 m

we can also write 8 m as 800 cm since, 1 m = 100 cm

∴ 2(l+b)= 800 cm

(l+b)=800/2

(l+b)= 400 cm ..........(i)

GIVEN THAT LENGTH = 80 cm

substitute l=80 cm in (i)

we get

80 + b = 400

b =400 - 80

b = 320 cm

area = (l×b)

AREA= (80 × 320)

area = 25600 cm^2

25600/100

= 256 m^2.

hope it helps!!

length=80 cm=0.8m

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

8 m=2(0.8+b)

4=0.8+b

3.2m=b

area of rectangle=l*b

                            =0.8*3.2

area of rectangle=2.56m²
