Answer:

672

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that area of a rectangle is length x breadth

length is given as 48 m

as in a rectangle the sides are perpendicular to each other to form a right angled triangle with the diagonal we can use pythogorous theorem to find the breadth

diagonal is given to be 50 m long

==> breadth^2 = 50^2 - 48^2

==> breadth = 14 m

now area of rectangle = 14 * 48 = 672

answer is 672

Area of rectangle =l×b

But , here the breadth is not given

So, we will divide the rectangle into two triangles given in the figure above

So, here we can use Pythagoras theorem

 {h }^{2}  =  {p}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}

In this case the diagonal can be the hypotenuse

So, first

We are finding breadth

 {50}^{2}  =  {48}^{2}  +  {p}^{2}

2500 - 2304 =p*2

196=p*2

14*2=p*2

Now , cut the powers on both the sides as they are equal

p=14

Now , we have breadth also which is 14 cm

Area of rectangle = l×b

=14 ×48

=672 cm*2.
