Solution :

Dimensions of the rectangular plot :

one side ( a ) = 24 m

Let the second side ( b ) = x m

Diagonal ( d ) = 25m

We know that ,

b² = d² - a²

=( 25 )² - 24²

= ( 25 + 24 )( 25 - 24 )

= 49

=> b = √49

=> b = 7 m

Therefore ,

Area of the rectangular plot = a × b

= 24m × 7 m

= 168 m²

Answer:

168 cm2

Step-by-step explanation:

One side of the rectangular plot = 24 cm

Diagonal = 25 m

Let the length of the adjacent side of the given side be x cm

Two adjacent sides of the rectangle and the diagonal forms a right angled triangle.

By Pythagoras theorem,

ignore the negative value

Therefore, breadth of the rectangle is 7 cm.

Area = l x b

= 24 x 7

= 168 cm2.

hope this answer helps you
