find the area of a right triangle whose base is 1.2 metre and hypotenuse is 3.7 m

Base = 1.2 m

Hypotenuse = 3.7 m

perpendicular =  \sqrt{  {h}^{2} -  {b}^{2}   }  \\ p =  \sqrt{ {3.7}^{2} -  {1.2}^{2}  }  \\ p =  \sqrt{13.69 - 1.44}  \\ p =  \sqrt{12.25}  \\ p = 3.5
Perpendicular = 3.5 m


Area = Base *Perpendicular /2

= 1.2 * 3.5 /2

= 0.6 * 3.5

= 2.1 m^2

hey...

to find area of right triangle we need BASE and HEIGHT.

Height can be find out by using pythagores theorem.

area = 2.1 m^2.
