Find the area of a semicircular disc whose diameter is 28cm. (take π as 22/7)

Please tell me the answer with the formula.
The answer I am getting is 308m^2.
If I am correct please let me know.​

R = 14 cm

So , area of the semicircular disc

= 22/7 × 14cm × 14cm ÷ 2

= 22 × 2cm × 7cm

= 22 × 14cm

= 308cm²

To solve this problem , I did the following :—

  1. Found the radius of the disc by dividing the diameter by half .
  2. Applied the formula to find out the area of a circle i.e. πr²
  3. Divided the area by half as the disc was semicircular .
