\huge\bf{Solution}

As we all know that the area of square is side × side so ,

Area of square = {side}^{2}

then , according to the question, the side is increasing by 2 times,

New side = 2 × Side.

put the formula of area of square to find the new area of square,

New area = {(2× side)}^{2}

= 4 × {side}^{2}

= 4 × original area.

If the side increased by 2 times then the area increased by 4 times
