Find the area of a square park whose perimeter is 80m.

ans :
Area of square = side × side
perimeter of square = 4 × side

perimeter of area = 80m
perimeter of square = 4 × side
side = perimeter/4 = 80/4 = 20m

•Area of square = side × side = 20 × 20 = 400 sq.m

the formula for finding the area of square is side X side

= 4 X 20= 400sqcm

to find the side we need to divide 80 by 4

= 80/4= 20m

Area of square park is 400 m² whose perimeter is 80m.

Given :

Square Park with perimeter 80 m

To Find:

Area of the square park

Solution:

Assume that side length of the park is  a m

Step 1:

Use formula Perimeter = 4 x side length to find perimeter

Perimeter = 4a  m

Step 2:

Equate perimeter with given 80 m and solve for

4a = 80

=> a = 20

Step 3:

Use formula for area of square = (side length )² and substitute a = 20

Area = a²

=> Area = (20)²

=> Area = 400 m²

Area of square park is 400 m² whose perimeter is 80m.
