The area of the square with the side (l) =?

Solution:

The area of a body can be said to be the space occupied by the body.

We have, the formula for calculating the area of the square as follows;

The area of the square 'A' is equal to the square of the length of its side.

i.e., Area of square = (side)²

∴ Area of Square = l²

∴ Area of Square = (5.7)²

∴ Area of Square = 5.7 × 5.7

∴ Area of Square = 32.49 cm²

Therefore, the area of the square with a side length equal to 5.7cm is 32.49 cm².
