find the area of a trapezium whose parallel sides are 11m and 25m long,and the nonparalled sides are 15m and 13m long.

Here area of trapezium = Area of parallelogram + area of triangle

Also area of triangle = (1/2) × base × height

Hence height of parallelogram is also 12 cm
Area of parallelogram = base × height
= 11 × 12 = 132 sq cm
Hence area of trapezium = 84 + 132 = 216 sq cm
