Find the area of a trapezium whose parallel sides are 2.5 m and 1.3 m and the distance between them is 80 cm..

Sum of parallel sides =  2.5m  + 1.3m

                                   = 3.8m

Height of trapezium  = 80cm

                                  = 0.8m

Area of trapezium = 1/2 × height × sum of parallel sides

                             = 1/2 × 0.8 × 3.8

                             = 0.4 × 3.8

                             = 1.52 m²
