find the area of a triangle when two side are 24cm and 10cm and the perimeter of the triangle is 60cm

24+10+x=60
x=26
use herons formula
to get the area of the required triangle

perimeter of triangle = sum of all sides

here,  60 = 24+10 + third side

60-34 =third side

26  = third side


checking whether it is right angled triangle,if it is then

24^2 + 10^2= 26^2

576+100 =676

676= 676

hence, it is a right angled triangle'

now,  area of right angled triangle= (height*base)/2 


area of right angled triangle = (24*10)/2 = 12*10 =120  cm^2
