Answer:

34.56 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

so the sides are

12 cm

9.6 cm

7.2 cm

area=root (s (s-a)(s-b)(s-c))

so

s = (12 +9.6+7.2)/2= 28.8/2=14.4

s-a = 14.4-12 = 2.4

s-b = 14.4-9.6= 4.8

so

area = root (14.4×2.4×4.8)

so

area = 34.56cm^2

First we have to find the semi perimeter of triangle.

a=12 b=9.6 c=7.2

s=a+b+c/2

12+9.6+7.2/2

=28.8/2

=14.4

By heron's formula,

area of triangle=√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

=√14.4(14.4-12)(14.4-9.6)(14.4-7.2)

=√14.4×2.4×4.8×7.2

=√1194.3936

=34.56

The area of the triangle is 34.56
