for height we have to find by Pythagoras theorem

therefore height^2=a^2+(b/2)^2

a^2+b^2/4

a^2+b^2/4

1/24a^2+b^2...(1)

now area,

1/2×b×1/24a^2+b^2

1/4×b×4a^2+b^2
