Question :

find the area of circle whose circumference is 22 cm.

Solution :

Given :circumference = 22 cm

Circumference = 2πr

22 = 2πr

⇒r= 22/2π = 11/π ....(1)

Now

area \: of \: Circle \:  = \pi \: r {}^{2}

put the value of r from (1)

 \implies \: area \: of \: circle \:  = \pi \times(  \frac{11}{\pi} ) {}^{2}

 =  \frac{11 {}^{2} }{\pi}

 =  \frac{121}{\pi}  \: cm {}^{2}

it is the required solution!
