As we know that,

Radius is half of diameter.

So,

Radius = $\frac{diameter}{2}$

Radius $= \frac{12}{2} = 6$

So, Radius of circle is 6 mm

Area of circle = $\pi \times {r}^{2}$

Put the value of r and π = 3.14

Area of circle = $3.14 \times {6}^{2}$

Square means multiply the given values with itself twice.

Square of 6 is 36.

Area of circle = $3.14 \times 36$

Area of circle = $113.04$

Hence,

Area of circle is 113.04 ${cm}^{2}$
