Question :-

  • Find areas of following :-

Answer :-

  • (a) Area of the parallelogram

⠀⠀⠀= base × altitude = 7 cm × 4 cm

⠀⠀⠀= 28 {cm}^{2}

  • (b) Area of the parallelogram

⠀⠀⠀= base × altitude = 5 cm × 3 cm

⠀⠀⠀= 15 {cm}^{2}

  • (c) Area of the parallelogram

⠀⠀⠀= base × altitude = 2.5 cm × 3.5 cm

⠀⠀⠀= 8.75 {cm}^{2}

  • (d) Area of the parallelogram

⠀⠀⠀= base × altitude = 5 cm × 4.8 cm

⠀⠀⠀= 24.0 {cm}^{2}

  • (e) Area of the parallelogram

⠀⠀⠀= base × altitude = 2 cm × 4.4 cm

⠀⠀⠀= 8.8 {cm}^{2}

More about it :-

1 The perimeter of a regular polygon

= number of sides × length of one side

2. The perimeter of a square = 4 × side

3. Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (l + b)

4. Area of a square = side × side

5. Area of a rectangle = l × b

Conversion of Units :-

  • 1cm =10 mm

  • 1 {cm}^{2} = 100 {mm}^{2}

  • 1 {m}^{2} = 100 × 100 = 10,000 {cm}^{2}

  • 1 {km}^{2} = 1000 × 1000 = 1,000,000 {m}^{2}

  • 1 hectare = 10,000 m2
