Perimeter =sum of all sides

let the two equal sides be x and the remaining be 12

perimeter =x+x+12=32

2x=32-12

2x=20

x=10cm

Area could be found using Herons formula

where S=a+b+c÷3i.e 32÷3=10.67

area =  \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}

area turns out to be approximately

area =  \sqrt{5}

Area=2.24

12+x+x=32

12+2x=32

2x=20

x=10

a=10 cm

b=10 cm

c=10 cm

2s=32

s=16 cm

area= root s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

=root 16(16-10)(16-10)(16-12)

=root 16×6×6×4

=6root 16×4

=6×4 ×2

=48 cm^2
