Let vect.a and vect.b be two diagonals of parallelogram.
vect.a = 2i
vect.b = 3j

Area of the parallelogram is calculated by -
A = 1/2 |vect.a × vect.b|
A = 1/2 |2i × 3j|
A = 1/2 |6k|
A = 1/2 × 6
A = 3 sq.units

Area of the parallelogram is 3 sq.units.
