Area of pentagon ABCDE =  87 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of pentagon ABCDE = Area of Δ ABC  + Area of ΔACD + Area of Δ ADE

Area of ΔABC = (1/2) * AC * BL    ( as BL ⊥AC)

= (1/2)(10)*3

= 15 cm²

Area of ΔACD = (1/2) * AD * CM    ( as CM ⊥AD)

= (1/2)(12)*7

= 42 cm²

Area of ΔADE = (1/2) * AD * EN   ( as EN ⊥AD)

= (1/2)(12)*5

= 30 cm²

Area of pentagon ABCDE = 15 + 42 + 30  = 87 cm²
