let the rectangle be ABCD and join diagonal AC,then

Area(triangle ABC)=1/2{-4(-5+2)-3(-2+2)+3(-2+5)}

1/2{-4*-3-3*0+3*3}

1/2(12+9)

1/2*21

21/2=1.5 sq units

Similarly,Area of triangle ACD=16.5 sq units

Area of rect. = 16.5+1.5=18sq units
