  • Area of rectangle is 125 m².

Step-by-step explanation:

To find:-

  • Area of rectangle.

Solution:-

Given that,

Length is 5 more than 4 times it's breadth.

Perimeter is 60 m.

Let, Breadth be x.

And length be 4x + 5

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

➝ 60 = 2 × (4x + 5 + x)

➝ 60 = 8x + 10 + 2x

➝ 60 = 10x + 10

➝ 60 - 10 = 10x

➝ 50 = 10x

➝ 50/10 = x

➝ 5 = x

Or , x = 5

We have taken,

Breadth be x. Thus, Breadth of rectangle is 5 m.

And We have also taken,

Length be 4x + 5 = 4×5 + 5 = 20 + 5 = 25. So, Length of rectangle is 25 m.

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

➝ 25 × 5

➝ 125

Therefore,

Area of rectangle is 125 m².
