one side=48m
diagonal=50m
other side=x

by Pythagoras theorem, (since all the angles of a rectangle are 90degree)

(50)^2= (48)^2+ x^2
2500=2304+x^2
2500-2304=x^2
196=x^2
root 196= x
14=x

the other side =14

area=l*b
=14*48
=672m^2

since all the angles of the rectngle are 90 degrees and diagonal divedes it into two right angled triangles.

using pythagoras theoram
 h^{2} = b^{2} + p^{2}
p= \sqrt{50}^{2} -48 ^{2}
p=2500-2304
p= \sqrt{196}
p=14m

then area of rectangular plot will be 48*14=672 m^{2}

hope it helps
