Find the area of rectangular plot one side of which is 48m and its diagonal is 50m for 7 standard which is design by r.S.Aggarwal

Solutions :-

Given :
One of the side of rectangular plot = b = 48 m
Its Diagonal = d = 50 m


Find the length of other side (a) :-

By Pythagoras theorem,

a² + b² = d²
=> a² + (48)² = (50)²
=> a² + 2304 = 2500
=> a² = 2500 - 2304
=> a = √196 = 14


Now,
Find the area of rectangular plot :-

We know that,
Area of rectangle = (Length × Breadth) sq. units
= (14 × 48) m²
= 672 m²


Hence,
Area of rectangular plot = 672 m²

Given that,

One side of the rectangular plot = 48 m 
Diagonal of the rectangular plot = 50 m
Area of the rectangular plot = ?

Now,
Let the breadth be X m.

By Pythagoras Therom,

⇒ Diagonal² = length² + breadth²
⇒ 50² = 48² + x²
⇒ 2500 - 2304 = x²
⇒ x = √196 = 14 m

So, The Breadth is 14 m.

We have,
Area = length × breadth
⇒ 48 m × 14 m
⇒ 676 m²

Hence, The Required Area Of rectangular plot is 676 m².
