in triangle ABC
A(-2,1)= (x1, y1)
B(4,5)= (x2, y2)
C(-1,4)= (x3, y3)
area of triangle=1/2 | x1(y2-y3) + x2(y3-y1) +
x3(y1-y2) |
=1/2 | (-2)(5-4) + (4)(4-1) + (-1)(1-5) |
=1/2 | -2 + 12 + 4 |
=1/2 |14|
= 7
similarly find area of triangle ADC
area of triangle ADC is 0
area of rombus = area of ABC + area of ADC
= 7+0
=7
