find the area of rhombus one side of which measures 20cm and one of whose diagonal is 24cm

area of rhombus= product of diagonals/2

here, 

by pythagoras theorem ,

20^2 = 12^2 + (half of second diagoal)^2

400 -144 = half of second diagonal^2

256= half of second diagonal

16 = half of second diagonal


then the second diagonal is of 32cm

then area of rhombus = (32*24)/2

area of rhombus = 16*24

area of rhombus =  384cm^2
