The area of the sector = 25.66 cm²

SOLUTION :-

Given that :-

Radius = 7 cm
Angle at centre = 60 degrees.

To find :- Area of the sector.

So,

Area of sector is equal to :-

 \dfrac{\pi {r}^{2}  \alpha }{360}

Where,

Alpha is the angle at the centre.

So,

Area of given sector is equal to :-

 \dfrac{ \dfrac{22}{7} \times 7 \times 7 \times 60 }{360}  \\  \\  =  \frac{22 \times 7 \times 6}{36}  \\  \\  =  \frac{22 \times 7}{6}  \\  \\  =  \frac{11 \times 7}{3}  \\  \\  =  \frac{77}{3}  = 25.66 \:  {cm}^{2}

Formula :

Area of sector = π r² / 360° × θ

Given information :

r = 7 cm

θ = 60°

Take π as 22 / 7

Finding the area :

So : area = π r² / 360° ×  θ

               = 22 / 7 × ( 7 cm ) × ( 7 cm ) × 60°/360°

               = 22 × 7 cm² × 6

               = 154 / 6 cm²

               = 77/ 3 cm²

               = 25.666666 cm²

25.67  cm²

Hope it helps :-)
