area of sq.ABCD = 10 × 10

then we get 100cm sq.

And now we have to find that the

area of circle incribed in the centre of square

hence given that the diameter of circle 2cm

then the radius is diameter divided by 2

we get radius 2/2 = 1cm

hence the area of circle is π

now we have to find that the area of 4 quarter circles are in the corner of the square that equals to the area of one circle

radius = 3 cm

area is 9 π

now we find that is given in question area of shaded portion

Area of shaded portion = Area of the square ABCD - Sum of the area of two circles

= 100 - (9π+π)

= 100 - 10π

= 100 - 10 × 3.14

= 100 - 31.4

= 68.6 cm sq.

hence we get 68.6 is the answer
