Answer:

First find the area of the bigger square

10 * 10 = 100cm²

Then calculate the area of the smaller square

1*1 = 1cm ²

As there are four squares so multiply area of smaller square by 4

1 cm²*4 = 4cm²

Now subtract the total area of the smaller triangles from the area of the bigger traiangle

100 cm² - 4 cm² = 96 cm²

Therefore, area of shaded region = 96 cm²
