area of rectangle = l*b = 40*25 = 1000

base of triangle = 15

height of triangle = 20

area of that triangle = 1/2 * b*h = 1/2 * 15 * 20 = 150

now area of shaded part = area of rectangle - area of triangle = 1000-150 = 850 cm^2
