SOLUTION :

The diagonal of a square = 0.236

We know that,

The formula for finding the Diagonal of square

= \sqrt{2} a   [ ∴ In which a is the side of the square ]

So,

⇒  \sqrt{2} a  = 0.236

⇒ 1.414 × a = 0.236

⇒ a = 0.236 ÷ 1.414

⇒ a = 0.166

We got the side of the square = 0.166

Now,

Area of square = \bf{ {a}^{2} }    [  ∴ In which a is the side of the square ]

Area of square =  \bf{ {(0.166)}^{2} }

                         = 0.027

Hence

The area of the square whose diagonal is 0.236 = 0.027
