Perimeter of square is 4×side.
So, 4×side = 48 cm
side = 48÷4
side = 12 cm.
 Area = side²
= 12²
=144 cm².

Answer:

The area of the square with given parameter is 144 cm^2

To find:

The area of the square with given parameter

Solution:

Given:

Perimeter of the given Square = 48 cm

Note: Sum of side lengths is the perimeter.

A square has four edges, four vertices and four sides.

To find the side of the square,

A Square has four sides = 4 \times a

4 \times a=48\\\\a= \frac {48}{4} =12

Side of the given square is a = 12

Then, to find the area of the Square

Formula for Area of the square = Side × Side = (Side)^2

Area of square= a^2=12^2=144

Area of square = 144 cm^2.
