Area of circle = πr²

and Radius = Diameter/2= 20/2= 10

and value of π if not given will be = 22/7

Now,

πr²= 22/7×10×10

= 22/7×100

= 2200/7

=314.2cm² Approx.

putting values in above formulae

area \: of \: circle =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 10 \times 10

area =  \frac{22}{7}  \times 100

area = 22 \times 14.28

area = 314.16 {cm}^{2}
