Answer:

224 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that side of rhombus is 14 cm and the height is 16 cm. Now, we know that rhombus is a parallelogram, and area of parallelogram = base × height.

Hence, area of rhombus = base × height

⇒ 14 × 16

⇒ 224 cm²

Hence, area of given field is 224 cm²

Properties of rhombus.

⇒ A rhombus is a parallelogram with all sides equal and opposite angles equal.

⇒ The diagonals of rhombus are not equal but bisect each other at right angles.

⇒ Area of a rhombus is also given by 1/2 × product of two diagonals.

sprao534: Are diagonals of parallelogram bisect at right angles?. i think it is not true.
Mankuthemonkey01: Oops ^^" I had to write rhombus by mistake I wrote parallelogram. Let me edit ^^"
sprao534: what are the lengths of the diagonals?
Mankuthemonkey01: we don't have to find them
sprao534: but I am asking the length of diagonals

Solution:-

Given:-

Height = 16cm

Base = 14cm.

Hence,

Area of Rhombus = Base × Height

=> Area of Rhombus = 16 × 14

=> Area of Rhombus = 224 cm².

Hence,

Area of Rhombus is 224cm².

Area of Rhombus can also be fined by the below Formula:-

Area of Rhombus = 1/2 × (Product of Diagonals).

Properties of Rhombus:-

• All the Sides are equal in length.

• Opposite Angles are equal.

• Diagonal bisect each other at 90°
