Answer:

The Area of figure  is 115.3 cm² .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Side of a square = 10 cm

AE  = 6 cm ,  ED = 8 cm

AREA OF Square = side²

= 10 × 10

= 100 cm²

AREA OF Square = 100 cm²

Diameter of Semicircle = Side of a square = 10 cm

Radius of Semicircle = diameter/2 = 10 /2 cm = 5 cm

Radius of Semicircle = 5 cm

AREA OF SEMICIRCLE = ½ πr²

= ½ × 22/7 × (5)²

= (11 × 25) /7

= 275/ 7

= 39.3  cm²

AREA OF SEMICIRCLE = 39.3 cm²

Area of right angled ∆ = ½ × Base × height

AREA OF RIGHT ANGLED, ∆AED = ½ × AE × ED

= ½ × 6 × 8  = 3 × 8 = 24 cm²

Area of right angled ∆ = 24 cm²

Area of figure = Area of square  + Area of semicircle - Area of right angled ∆AED

Area of figure  = 100 + 39.3 - 24

= 139.3 - 24

= 115.3 cm²

Area of figure = 115.3 cm²

Hence, the Area of figure  is 115.3 cm² .
