Answer:

area of outer square = 9×12=108m²

area of inner square = 6×9=54m²

area of the path = area of outer square - area of inner square

= 108-54

= 54m²

Answer:

Length of smaller rectangle= (12-1.5×2)m

=(12-3)m= 9m

Breadth of smaller rectangle= (9-1.5×2)m

=6m

Area of smaller rectangle= Length×Breadth= (9×6)m^2= 54m^2

Area of bigger rectangle= (12×9)m^2= 108m^2

Therefore,

Area of path= (108-54)m^2= 54m^2
