We know that each side of rectangle is perpendicular to each other,
Hence, by Pythagoras theorem,
( length )^2 + ( breadth )^2 = ( diagonal )^2
( 5 )^2 + ( breadth )^2 = ( 6 )^2
Breadth^2 = 36 - 25
breadth = √11 cm
Hence,
Area of rectangle = length × breadth
Area of rectangle = 5√11 cm^2
Hence, by Pythagoras theorem,
( length )^2 + ( breadth )^2 = ( diagonal )^2
( 5 )^2 + ( breadth )^2 = ( 6 )^2
Breadth^2 = 36 - 25
breadth = √11 cm
Hence,
Area of rectangle = length × breadth
Area of rectangle = 5√11 cm^2
