find the area of the rhombus whose diagonals are 8cm 8mm and 6 cm 5mm.

8m8mm=1000*88=8.8m
6m5mm=1000*65=6.5m

Diagonals of rhombus bisects each other by 90°,
By Pythagoras theorem,

(8.8/2)²+(6.5/2)²=side²
(77.44+42.24)/4=side²

119.69/4=side²

√29.9225=side

D1 = 8.8 cm, D2 = 6.5 cm
Area of rhombus = D1+D2/2
= 8.8+6.5/2
= 15.3/2 = 7.6 cm square approx
