Here is yr answer....

From the figure,
Area of the shaded region = area of trapezium - area of square
Now,
h = 5cm, a = 10cm, b = 16cm
Area of trapezium = 1/2 h(a+b)
= 1/2 × 5(10+16)
= 1/2 × 5(26)
= 1/2 × 130
= 65 sq.cm
And,
side (a) = 3cm
Area of square = a²
= 3²
= 9 sq.cm
Then,
Area of shaded region = 65 - 9 = 56
Therefore, area of shaded region = 56 sq.cm
