Answer:

Area of shaded part =

[50m×1.5m]+[40m×5m]-[5m×1.5m]

=75m^2+200m^2-7.5m^2

=275-7.5m^2

=267.5m^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Length of the rectangle is 50 m and breadth of the rectangle is 40 m and width of the path is 5 m

and Width of the another path is 1.5 m

To find :-

Find the area of the shaded region ?

Solution :-

Given that

Length of the rectangle (l) = 50 m

Breadth of the rectangle (b) = 40 m

Width of the path (w1) = 5 m

Width of the another path (w2) = 1.5 m

Area of the shaded part =

(Area of the rectangle whose length is 50 m and breadth is 1.5 m + Area of the rectangle whose length is 40 m and breadth is 5 m ) - ( Area of the rectangle whose length is 5m and breadth is

1.5 m )

We know that

Area of a rectangle = lb sq.units

Area of the shaded region

=> (50×1.5)+(40×5) - (5×1.5)

=> 75.0 + 200 - 7.5

=> 275-7.5

=> 267.5 sq.m

Answer:-

Area of the given shaded region is

267.5 m²

Used formulae:-

→Area of a rectangle = lb sq.units

Where, l = length and b = breadth
