to find area of shaded portion


so, we know that area of square is side square

area of square = s²
=14²
=196
to find area of shaded portion we have to subtract area of unshaded portion by shaded region
now,
196 - 2×22/7× 7×7×1/2
196-154
42cm

area of square- area of all the unshaded portion
196-42×2
196-84
112cm
