Answer:

150 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

In Δs TDU, BCU, ABT right angle at D, C, A respectively\

Area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height

Area of TDU = 1/2 × DU×TD

                     = 1/2 × 10 × 10

                     = 5 × 10

                     = 50cm²

Area of BCU = 1/2 × BC × UC

                     = 1/2 × 20 × 10

                     = 10 × 10

                     = 100 cm²

Area of ABT = 1/2 × AB × AT

                     = 1/2 × 20 × 10 (∵ ADCB is a square and AT = BC-TD=20-10=10)

                     = 10 × 10

                     = 100 cm²

Area of square = side²

                         = 20²

                         = 400 cm²

Now, area of triangle BTU = Area of square - (Area of triangle ABT + Area of triangle TDU + Area of triangle BCU)

= 400 - (100+100+50)

= 400 - 250

= 150 cm²
