find the area of the shaded portion shown in figure if the side of a square is 4 cm

the area of the square is l×l so it's 4×4=16cmsquare. and that of the circle is pi×r×square=22/7×2×2=12.5
so the area of the remaining part is {16-12.5}cm square=4.5 cm square.
