We can find area of shaded region by finding area of rectangle and semicircle separately as:-

Area \:  of  \: rectangle  \\= l \times b \\ = 9 \times 7 \\=63 {m}^{2}

Now

radius of semicircle

= 12.5 m - 9 m

=3.5 m

Now

Area of semicircle=

 \frac{1}{2}  \pi {r}^{2}  \\  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 3.5 \times 3.5 \\  = 19.25 {m}^{2}

so area of shaded part will be

area of rectangular region + area of semicircular region

=63+19.25

=82 .25 m ^ 2
